Double-sided Lampshades
The main design feature of the Ciaran Dance Design collections of lampshades is that they are double-sided, meaning they are decorated with fabric on both the inside and outside surfaces.
In making the shades double-sided, I can create much more interesting lighting effects and real tune in to create light that reacts to and compliments its surroundings and the use of the space it is located in.
I generally combine a patterned fabric with a plain fabrics and because fabric is porous this means the light emitted from the lightbulb will cause the two fabrics to interact with one another. The effects this creates can be seen in our 'Patterned' and 'Hidden' Collections pages.

Note: All our lampshades can be fitted onto lamp bases and hung from ceiling pendants.
