"SECOND" Double-sided ‘Liberty Arboretum’ lampshade

‘Liberty Arboretum’ is a bespoke lampshade designed using my architectural understanding of illumination and how artificial light interacts with patterned textiles. Handmade using a Liberty of London cotton fabric, this shade creates a soft, atmospheric light that glows beautifully when illuminated.

Fabric Story This design features the Liberty of London Arboretum print, chosen stunning array of bold colours, and its 60s psychodelia vibe. The pattern features trees and flowers against a landscape of rolling hills, and when lit, the pattern softens into, giving the shade a calm yet expressive glow.

Lighting Behaviour Paired with its lilac lining, 'Liberty Arboretum' responds distinctively when warm bulbs are applied. The lilac tone transfers subtly into the white elements of the pattern and softens the primary and secondary colours, creating a soothing and relaxing light ideal for living rooms and bedrooms.
