Single-sided cylinder ‘Shooting Stars’ Ankara print fabric lampshade

‘Shooting Stars’ is a bespoke lampshade designed using my architectural understanding of illumination and how patterned textiles behave when light passes directly through them. Handmade using a bold, graphic fabric, ‘Shooting Stars’ creates a vibrant, orange glow that adds instant character to any interior.

Fabric Story This shade features an Ankara printed fabric, chosen for its punchy pattern featuring targets and stars. The pattern is expressive and modern, and because it sits on the exterior, it remains visually striking whether the lamp is on or off. When illuminated, the colours becomes even more bold and the geometry gains a gentle depth, giving the shade a dynamic presence.

Lighting Behaviour ‘Shooting Stars’  responds beautifully to warm bulbs, enhancing the richness of the outer colours and creating a cosy, inviting ambience ideal for living and dining rand perfect for lighting up the corner of a room in smaller spaces. The contemporary feel also works well in hallways, and over staircases. Its very much a design for ambient lighting.

Handmade Craft Each lampshade is handmade in London using traditional making techniques. The exterior pattern is aligned with precision, the interior lining is finished cleanly, and the structure is built to maintain its form over time. As part of a limited run, every shade carries the individuality of the maker’s hand.

Practical Details Available in multiple sizes and suitable for both pendant and table‑lamp fittings.

Size 3: 20cm diameter, 70cm tall
