Single-sided cylinder ‘Cloud’ Ankara print fabric lampshade

‘Cloud’ is a bespoke lampshade designed using my architectural understanding of illumination and how patterned textiles behave when light passes directly through them. Handmade using a bold, graphic fabric, 'Cloud' creates a soft, relaxing glow adding interest to any interior.

Fabric Story This shade features the a cloud printed fabric in pale blue and white. The pattern is naturalistic and modern, and because it sits on the exterior, it remains visually interesting whether the lamp is on or off. When illuminated, the colours soften slightly.

Lighting Behaviour 'Cloud' responds beautifully to warm bulbs, creating a cosy, inviting ambience ideal for living rooms and bedrooms. Cooler bulbs sharpen the colours and remove the warm glow, giving the cool crisp neutral light temperature, perfect for home offices, kitchens and reading by. Its balanced behaviour makes it suitable for both ambient and task lighting. Its also great hung over staircases - who doesn't loke to look up and see the sky!

Handmade Craft Each lampshade is handmade in London using traditional making techniques. The exterior pattern is aligned with precision, the interior lining is finished cleanly, and the structure is built to maintain its form over time. As part of a limited run, every shade carries the individuality of the maker’s hand.

Practical Details Available in multiple sizes and suitable for both pendant and table‑lamp fittings.
