Single-sided cylinder ‘Giant Leaf’ Ankara print fabric lampshade

‘Giant Leaf’ is a bespoke lampshade designed using my architectural understanding of illumination and how patterned textiles behave when light passes directly through them. Handmade using a bold, graphic fabric, ‘Giant Leaf’ creates a vibrant, iridescent glow that adds instant character to any interior.

Fabric Story This shade features an Ankara waxed cotton printed fabric, chosen for its stunning abstract leaf pattern in a variety of green tones. The pattern is expressive and modern, and because it sits on the exterior, it remains visually striking whether the lamp is on or off. When illuminated, the green colours soften slightly and the geometry gains a gentle depth, as both the greens become almost iridescent giving the shade a refined presence.

Lighting Behaviour ‘Giant Leaf’  responds beautifully to warm bulbs, enhancing the richness of the outer colours and creating a cosy, inviting ambience ideal for living rooms , conservatories and dining spaces or to light up a corner in smaller rooms where space is precious.

Handmade Craft Each lampshade is handmade in London using traditional making techniques. The exterior pattern is aligned with precision, the interior lining is finished cleanly, and the structure is built to maintain its form over time. As part of a limited run, every shade carries the individuality of the maker’s hand.

Practical Details Available in multiple sizes and suitable for both pendant and table‑lamp fittings.
