Double-sided 'Circles 25' Ankara print lampshade

‘Circles 25’ is a bespoke lampshade designed using my architectural understanding of illumination and how artificial light interacts with patterned and plain coloured textiles. Handmade using the same Ankara fabric as my 'Hidden Target 25' lampshade design, this shade uses the pattern on the outside so it is always visible. The result is a stylised atmospheric light that glows beautifully when illuminated.

Fabric Story This design features an Ankara print, chosen for its striking red and yellow circle pattern contrasting with the black background. The pattern has a retro feel, and when lit, the result is an explosive glow.

Lighting Behaviour Paired with its orange lining, 'Circles 25' responds distinctively when warm bulbs are applied. The orange inner mixes with the red and yellow in the pattern to give a rich, warm tone to the shade and a warm aura onto any surfaces surrounding it. The resulting light is perfect for spaces for relaxation and cosiness. It's ideal for living rooms and dining rooms.

Handmade Craft Each lampshade is handmade in London using traditional making techniques. The exterior pattern is aligned with precision, the interior lining is finished cleanly, and the structure is built to maintain its sculptural form over time. As part of a limited run, every shade carries the individuality of the maker’s hand.

Practical Details Available in multiple sizes and suitable for both pendant and table‑lamp fittings.
