Double-sided ‘Relight My Fire’ Ankara print lampshade

‘Relight My Fire’ is a bespoke lampshade designed using my architectural understanding of illumination and how patterned textiles behave when placed inside a shade. Unlike traditional lampshades, the pattern reveals its design only when lit, creating a bold, glowing swirling effect. A modern addition to any room.

Fabric Story This shade features an Ankara print on the interior. Its a reinvention of my 'The Fire Inside' design which was the first design in the Hidden Collection. The pattern has an energetic swirling motif in orange and black. When the lamp is off, the exterior remains calm and understated in a clean, plain, cream coloured fabric. However, when illuminated, the interior pattern glows through the lining, creating a layered, swirling rich orange visual, reminiscent of flames.

Lighting Behaviour Paired with its Cream outer face, ‘Relight My Fire’ responds dramatically to warm bulbs, pulling the interior pattern through the shade and creating a punchy, graphic glow ideal for living and dining rooms, hallways, and evening lighting. The alternative Black fabric on the outside the pattern would still be visible on the outside when illuminated but the result would rbe more subtle. 

Handmade Craft Each lampshade is handmade in London using traditional making techniques. The interior pattern is aligned with precision, the lining is finished cleanly, and the structure is built to maintain its form over time. As part of a limited run, every shade carries the individuality of the maker’s hand.

Practical Details Available in multiple sizes and suitable for both pendant and table‑lamp fittings.
