Double-sided 'Like a Moth to a Flame' print fabric lampshade

‘Like a Moth to a Flame’ is a bespoke lampshade designed using my architectural understanding of illumination and how artificial light interacts with patterned and plain, coloured textiles. Handmade using a Cotton fabric 

Fabric Story This design features a moth motif in rich yellow and brown with flecks of white and turquoise, on a dusty pink background, this shade creates a soft, atmospheric light that glows beautifully when illuminated.

Lighting Behaviour Paired with its duck egg blue lining, which picks up the turquoise in the pattern, ‘Like a Moth to a Flame’ produces a cool soothing and relaxing light ideal for living rooms, bedrooms and home offices. Mint green is also as an alternative inner colour available to match your decor and the light colour would be similar to the duck egg blue option. Alternative warmer colours for the inner face are also available including lemon and peach both of which reflect colours in the pattern and would make the overall lampshade warmer in tone. Its balanced behaviour makes it adaptable to both ambient and task lighting.

Handmade Craft Each lampshade is handmade in London using traditional making techniques. The exterior pattern is aligned with precision, the interior lining is finished cleanly, and the structure is built to maintain its sculptural form over time. As part of a limited run, every shade carries the individuality of the maker’s hand.

Practical Details Suitable for both pendant and table‑lamp fittings.
