Double-sided Kaffe Fassett ‘Jade Garden’ lampshade

‘Jade Garden’ is a bespoke lampshade designed using my architectural understanding of illumination and how patterned textiles behave when placed inside a shade. Unlike traditional lampshades, Jade Garden from my Hidden Collection reveals its design only when lit, creating a powerful, intense glow that transforms the room.

Fabric Story This shade features the Kaffe Fassett Lotus Leaf print on the interior, chosen for its strong layered greens and vibrant florals. When the lamp is off, the exterior remains calm and understated in a crisp, modern apple‑green colour. When illuminated, the interior pattern glows through the lining, revealing depth and a subtle colour shift in the outer fabric.

Lighting Behaviour Paired with its apple‑green outer face, 'Jade Garden' responds beautifully to warm bulbs, pulling the rich interior florals through the shade and creating a punchy, garden‑like ambience ideal for living and dining room and quiet corners. Cooler bulbs sharpen the interior detailing and bring a fresh clarity to the greens.

Handmade Craft Each lampshade is handmade in London using traditional making techniques. The interior pattern is aligned with precision, the lining is finished cleanly, and the structure is built to maintain its form over time. As part of a limited run, every shade carries the individuality of the maker’s hand.
