Double-sided Kaffe Fassett ‘Chrysanthemum Moss’ lampshade

‘Chrysanthemum Moss’ is a bespoke lampshade designed using my architectural understanding of illumination and how artificial light interacts with richly patterned and plain coloured textiles. Handmade using a Kaffe Fassett fabric to create a warm, atmospheric glow that transforms any interior.

Fabric Story This design features Kaffe Fassett Chrysanthemum fabric in a 'Moss' colourway. Originally, used for a bespoke commission, the transformation when illuminated was so exciting to me I just had to add it to the main collection. The fabric combines a variety of greens with turquoise in a stunning Chrysanthemum design. 

Lighting Behaviour Paired with its warm mustard interior lining, ‘Chrysanthemum Moss’ responds beautifully to warm bulbs, intensifying and altering the outer pattern colours and creating a rich, intimate atmosphere ideal for living rooms, dining spaces, and quiet corners. The two fabrics when combined change what is predominantly a green fabric into limes and yellows reminiscent of Vincent Van Goch's sunflowers - giving the shade a luxurious, expressive presence.

Handmade Craft Each lampshade is handmade in London using traditional making techniques. The exterior pattern is centred and aligned with precision, the interior lining is finished cleanly, and the structure is built to maintain its form over time. As part of a limited run, every shade carries the individuality of the maker’s hand.

Practical Details Available in multiple sizes and suitable for both pendant and table‑lamp fittings.
